Welcome aboard

You're set up with OptionsDesk.

Before you commit capital to an options position, you can now see exactly what it pays, what it costs and how likely it is to work. Here is the fastest route to your first modelled strategy.

Your first five minutes

Build one strategy end to end. Everything else in the app branches off this loop.

1

Build your first strategy

Open the Builder, pick an underlying, and add your legs — a single call, a vertical spread, an iron condor. The strategy library has the standard structures pre-built if you would rather start from a template.

2

Read the payoff

The payoff chart shows maximum profit, maximum loss and every breakeven at expiry. Drag the underlying price to see the position's value at any point between now and expiration, not just at the end.

3

Check the Greeks

Delta, gamma, theta and vega tell you how the position behaves when the market moves, when volatility shifts and simply as days pass. Theta is the one most traders underestimate.

4

Price the probability

Probability of profit and probability of touching turn a payoff shape into an expectation. A structure with an attractive maximum profit and a low probability of reaching it is worth knowing about before you fund it.

5

Track it in the Portfolio

Save the strategy to your portfolio and OptionsDesk aggregates the Greeks across every open position, so you can see your total delta and theta exposure rather than one trade at a time.

If you get stuck

Everything below is a real human or a real guide — not a chatbot.

OptionsDesk is software for analysis, modelling and education. Modelled outcomes and probabilities are estimates based on the inputs and pricing assumptions you supply — they are not predictions, and nothing here is investment advice. Options trading carries substantial risk of loss.
